In the event that the Bitmain Antminer E9 PSU malfunctions, this guide will show you how to test it using a multimeter.
This holds true for all PSUs in the APW series.
Follow the below steps to test if the PSU is broken or not:
1. Ensure that the power cord is connected correctly.
2. When examining the PSU’s D/C voltage, switch the multimeter to D/C mode.
3. There are two methods to plug the probes:
- The yellow and black connectors should be connected to either the red or black probe.
- Connect a red or black probe to the PSU’s positive and negative terminals.
4. If the voltage readings show 12 plus or minus 0.5 V, the power supply is operating normally. If it reads 0 V, the power supply unit is broken and needs to be fixed.
